Chunxia Ma, female, is an associate professor and advisor of graduate students of foreign linguistics at Xidian University, and a doctor of Education from Alliant International University. She is the leading author of four English course books and two movie scripts, and she published over 20 journal articles on linguistics and language teaching. Her research paper entitled Factors Affecting the Academic Success of Chinese International Undergraduate Students and the Supporting Strategies Needed was presented at the international conference on global education held in October 2015. Being interested in English/Chinese translation, she participated in translating many materials concerning business, scientific research, and social science. As one of the reviewers of the degree theses in the field of linguistics of China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, she is keen on the comparative study of the English and Chinese linguistics. Her recent research involves the comparative study of Chinese and Western flood myths, and the Chinese ideological modes embodied in The Book of Changes.
